IVOIRE Dual Temporal Structure
This project treats time as a structural medium. IVOIRE is conceived as a Gesamtkunstwerk—a total artwork in which objects, performances, texts, and ritual gatherings move through a single, continuous circuit. Its operations follow a dual temporal structure: a solar Wheel of the Year that carries the deep, seasonal work, and a lunar cycle of Esbat full-moon gatherings that inscribe the social chapters. It composes with time itself, using recurrence, alignment, and cyclical structure as part of the artwork and a visible pedagogy of an enchanted, self‑reflexive orientation to life. The terms Wheel of the Year and Esbat are drawn from twentieth‑century ritual vocabularies; here they serve as temporal and philosophical frameworks for composition and gathering, keying the work to widely legible cycles of light, dark, and season.
